Eight of Liebherr’s largest wheel loader model, the L 574, were recently delivered to the German Army and are to be used on the missions currently being undertaken in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Kosovo. Three of these machines, which are noted for their unusually low fuel consumption, went to the SFOR for use in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the remaining five have been acquired by the KFOR in Kosovo. The wheel loaders will mainly be used for reconstruction of the infrastructure, including demolition of buildings damaged beyond repair and recycling of the material thus obtained.
