Concrete for the Allianz Arena: mobile Liebherr mixing plant

At this major building site in Munich, the new "Allianz Arena", a Mobilmix 2.25 mixing plant from Liebherr is being used to produce top-quality concrete for what will become the new stadium for the Munich soccer clubs "FC Bayern" and "1860". Designed for mobile use, this mixing plant can be assembled and dismounted in a few days only and is made up of just a small number of transport-optimised units. Since the mixing plant stands on its own steel frame, additional concrete foundations are not needed. Equipped with a Liebherr DW 2.25 twin-shaft mixer, this mixing plant can achieve an hourly output of some 100 cubic metres set volume of concrete. The compartment-type silo with a maximum of six chambers has a storage capacity as high as 140 cu. m of material in various grain sizes. An integral control-system housed in a container is part of this practical concept. |
