Liebherr truck mixers with increased operating life
Long operating life and minimum maintenance effort were the targets when the entire Liebherr truck mixer model programme was revised and updated.

Among the most important measures were the adoption of a higher-grade steel and design optimisation in specific areas. Liebherr is now using the "QSTE 500" steel grade that has proved successful for the vehicle frames for the subframe of the truck mixer as well, in recognition of the good results obtained by chassis manufacturers in terms of mechanical load capacity and freedom from wear. The mixer drum and spiral mixing blades have for some years now been made from the special 27 Mn B5 grade of manganese-chrome alloy steel.

A number of design changes such as smoother surfaces, drip rings and panelling have the effect of making daily cleaning much easier. The swivel chute support is now a single closed-section arm, making it much easier to handle. Covers on both sides of the rear drum beading mount are an option, and the rear mudguards have been widened by 50 mm on the inside, toward the vehicle’s frame. A cover available as an accessory closes the remaining gap along the full length of the mudguard.

The well-positioned bearing mounts and the drum geometry result in a very low centre of gravity, which improves the truck mixer’s road behaviour.

An extensive programme of truck mixers in sizes between 4 and 15 cubic metres is available on all frequently encountered truck chassis. The top-selling model is the HTM 904, followed by the 10 cu. m mixer.
