The Liebherr EC-HM is a new top-slewing crane series featuring continuously variable drives in all cases and exhibiting a high degree of modularity. In addition to the hoisting and trolley travel gear, EC-HM cranes also use modern frequency-converter technology to supply the slewing gear. This continuously variable drive concept makes crane operation extremely convenient and, thanks to its higher efficiency, lowers operating costs. The crane operator also benefits from the high degree of modularity incorporated into the design of the EC-HM cranes. The new crane series exhibits a large number of innovative features aimed at making it even more versatile in use, but without compromising its functional efficiency. With it, Liebherr provides an even more adaptable answer to the needs of the market.
A further aspect of the EC-HM cranes’ modular construction principle is that crane can, as an option, be used without the cab, which is attached to the outside of the tower by quick-release fasteners, with no loss of operating convenience.
