LHM 400G sold to Youngjin, Korea

Liebherr-Werk Nenzing GmbH has managed to secure the sale of a LHM 400G – characterised by a max. lifting capacity of 104 tons and a max. outreach of 48 meters.

Youngjin Enterprise Co., located in Inchon Port, is namely one of the largest stevedoring companies in the whole of Korea. Already being familiar with the harbour mobile crane concept, it was mainly two reasons why Youngjin changed their purchasing policy and decided in favour of the Liebherr concept:

First of all Liebherr could convince the customer of the remarkable benefits of its cranes’ high classification standards. Since the Korean market is a very “demanding” one for harbour mobile cranes as 4.500 operation hours/year per crane are a realistic figure (twice as high as “global average rates”), the issue of the crane’s (residual) lifetime always is a crucial one in each and every negotiation.

Secondly Liebherr could prove to the customer the benefit of its special winch configuration for grab operation - a 2 x 70 t winch arrangement which increases the standard lifting capacity in four-rope operation from 34,7 tonnes up to 52 tonnes and has received a tremendous demand from grab handling companies all over the globe.
