Hundredth 500-tonne mobile crane handed over at the ‘Bauma’
The eight-axle LTM 1500 all-terrain crane weighs up to 300 tonnes in fully-equipped condition, and has a rated load capacity of up to 500 tons. Liebherr first exhibited this crane to the public six years ago, at the 1988 ‘Bauma’; its 84 metre long telescopic boom then established a world record that the LTM 1500 still holds today.
Liebherr’s plant in Ehingen has in the meantime built a hundred of these successful cranes. The 100th LTM 1500 was handed over to the customer, the Dutch Mammoet company, at the ‘Bauma’ trade fair in Munich on April 1, 2004. The Liebherr Group has enjoyed close, extremely successful business links with Mammoet for more than thirty years.
