The new Liebherr LTM 1220/1 mobile crane is also a logical development of the traditionally successful Liebherr five-axle crane. By fully utilising the total weight limit of 60 tonnes for a 12-tonne axle load in order to obtain the maximum lifting capacity with a 60 m long telescopic boom, the LTM 1220/1 has become the most powerful five-axle crane on the market. The use of high-tensile fine grain structural steel grades and further development of the boom profile have resulted in very considerable increases in load capacity compared with its predecessor, the LTM 1200/1, up to 30% in some areas of application.
