New LTC 1055 compact crane

The new compact three-axle Liebherr mobile crane with a maximum load capacity of 55 tonnes is also being shown to the public for the first time at the 2004 ‘Bauma’, and com-pletes the three-axle, all-terrain crane programme in the 45 to 55 tonne load category. The LTC 1055 is a hydrostatically driven mobile crane with a cabin that combines driving and crane operations. It has been especially developed for in-door, industrial and other special uses that call for high ma-noeuvrability. The LTC 1055 allows loads to be handled without problems in very tight spaces without incurring the limits that make such tasks difficult or even impossible with conventional all-terrain cranes. The hydrostatic drive and the positioning of the diesel engine on the crane’s superstructure represent an exceptionally compact method of construction. With a 36-m telescopic boom and 15 m long double-folding fly jib, the LTC 1055 has a maximum lift height of 51 m and a working radius of up to 46 m. |
