Design draughtsmen produce detailed drawings, drawings for individual parts and assembly drawings of mechanical and electrotechnical components in the design department or project departments, to the instruction of the designer. Computer support (CAD) is often required for these tasks.
Advice and support is always on-hand from their colleagues working in production or facility manufacture when implementing their drawings. |
