In September 2018, Liebherr presented at InnoTrans in Berlin (Germany) a wide range of systems and showed its strong capability to provide innovative solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, hydraulic actuation systems and rail excavators as well as components.

The team of Liebherr-Transportation Systems China attended the exhibition for the first time and met various customers and partners from the Chinese railway industry.

We met, for example, a delegation of CRRC Qingdao Sifang, which is a longtime customer of Liebherr-Transportation System in China. The current collaboration covers the major product lines of our railway related portfolio.

We also provided further product information about the current developments in our active hydraulic actuation program. Our technology improves the running performance of the vehicle and reduces wear and tear of rolling stock equipment and infrastructure at higher curve speeds.

Flexible and of low weight: The MACS 8.0 Modular Air Conditioning System / 灵活、重量轻便: MACS 8.0 模块化空调系统
Our MACS 8.0 Modular Air Conditioning System evoked a lot of interest of for example our customer CRRC Zhuzhou. This new design concept of a flexible configurable roof system is of low weight and characterized by its energy saving function and long working lifetime. Our MACS 8.0 modular unit was displayed with a CO2 based cooling cycle that could be used for the next generation of HVAC application for rolling stock vehicles.

During a meeting with the delegation of CRRC Qishuyan Locomotive, our visitors showed their interest in Liebherr’s new engine portfolio for rail applications, i.e. a diesel engine of the D98 series, as well as the latest generation horizontal 6-cylinder in-line engine D966.

Based on this positive feedback, Liebherr is adding capacities to directly introduce and provide the newest rolling stock technology from Europe to China in order to supply the Chinese High Speed rolling stock industry with equipment and technologies in order to make transport of passengers and goods even more efficient, safe and more comfortable.
