A unique partner on-board the A220

Liebherr-Aerospace is proud to be part of the A220 program since its upstream development in the early 2010s. Ten years later, we are always fully committed to support our components and systems in the fields of air management and landing gear for this new aircraft generation.

As part of this ambitious aircraft program, which is positioned between regional jet and single-aisle, with a high efficiency in noise reduction and fuel consumption, Liebherr-Aerospace has been developing and manufacturing the integrated air management system, which includes cabin pressure control, wing anti-ice, bleed air and overheat detection system, in Toulouse (France), and the complete landing gear system in Lindenberg (Germany).

We offer support solutions for our components and systems all along the A220 aircraft’s entire life cycle, starting with assistance for Entry-Into Service and Initial Provisioning. We bring different types of solutions to answer our customers’ needs: from on-demand support up to pay-by-the-hour contracts, through fixed prices or landing gear overhauls. We can propose also various options to fulfill our clients’ expectations, as pool access, on-site stock or insurances.

A full component Nose-To-Tail service offer is currently under preparation by the company OEMServices, to address such market demand.

Relying on our international network of maintenance, repair and overhaul stations and spares distribution facilities we ensure customer proximity and high-level performance for aircraft operators across the world. That is why we already have stocks and capabilities for both air management system and landing gear in Lindenberg and Toulouse to support our customers.

We also implemented a dedicated development plan in line with the further expansion of the A220 fleet worldwide: deployment of new capabilities in Saline (USA) for air management in 2020 and landing gears in 2020-2021, followed by additional capacities in Singapore for both systems in 2022-2023.
