The Liebherr Test Center for Electronics

Reliability, robustness, maturity, quality and compliance to the required standards – all of these are characteristics of our product field Electronics. Our facility in Lindau (Germany) features a test center which offers huge, various and extensive capabilities necessary for verification. On 2,800 sqm ( 30,139 sqft), the test center provides equipment for e.g.

• Electromagnetic compatibility testing (two chambers)
• Lightning tests
• Mechanical tests (two different three axis vibration shakers, bench handling)
• Environmental tests (temperature -55 °C to 180 °C, salt spray)
• Electrical tests from signal level up to 65 kW
• Robustness tests

With this test facility, our products can be tested in-house to nearly all qualification standards. Combined tests are also possible. We are able to stress test the product over the limits in a so called HALT-chamber (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) in order to find weak points in the design and to improve the product.

Our highly skilled qualification team is able to perform all above mentioned tests as well as to define and run complete qualification campaigns for aerospace product development, inclusive documentation. The efficiency of the test center is further enhanced thanks to the co-location with the engineering team.

This outstanding testing-knowledge and -capabilities of the laboratory is known also beyond the borders of Liebherr. Our test center offers its facilities successfully to external customers, not only to aerospace, but also to industrial or automotive branches.
