Liebherr has recently been honoured with three “Plus X Awards” for refrigerators and freezers from its current range. Liebherr was furthermore granted the 2012 “Specialized trade brand of the year” award.

A renowned jury of experts grants the Plus X Award annually. The assessment criteria are innovation, design, quality, ease of use, ergonomics and ecology. The seal of “The best product of the year” is awarded for outstanding achievement within a product category.

In 2012, Liebherr won the annual Plus X Awards in three categories: The WTes 5872 multi-temperature wine cabinet, the TP 1760 table-top refrigerator as well as the GP 1486 table-top freezer were each honoured as “The best product of the year” in their respective categories. In addition, these three appliances also received Plus X Awards for “High quality, design and ease of use”.

This year, the specialised trade was called upon for the first time to vote for their preferences in the different categories. This resulted in Liebherr being honoured as the 2012 “Specialized trade brand of the year” in the product group for “Large home appliances”. The reason for granting the award to Liebherr was based on its particularly fair distribution structure and Liebherr’s commercially attractive product portfolio.
