The development and manufacturing of all the products and components of the Liebherr Group is distributed across 40 production company locations in 17 countries on four continents.

Liebherr technology is well established in the field of the structural and civil engineering. The range of construction machines encompasses complete model lines of tower cranes, mobile cranes, hydraulic excavators, mining trucks, hydraulic and cable-operated excavators, wheel loaders, crawler tractors and loaders, pipelayers, telescopic handlers, concrete mixing plants and truck mixers. However, Liebherr also has comprehensive product lines in many other areas. In the sphere of freight and cargo handling, these include ship cranes, floating cranes, offshore cranes, container cranes and mobile dock cranes, reachstackers, as well as other machines specially designed for efficient material handling. For the construction of machines and plants, Liebherr provides machine tools, automation systems, aircraft equipment and transportation technologies. And for the household, Liebherr offers a complete range of refrigerators and freezers.

In view of the high standards of quality that Liebherr demands of its products, the in-house control of key technologies is highly valued. To avoid having to rely on third parties for core competences, we therefore also develop and manufacture important components ourselves. These include, for example, the complete drive and control technology for construction machinery with the product groups in respect of the electrical system, electronics, transmission, hydraulics and diesel engine. Further examples are the hydraulic cylinder and anti-friction bearing component groups, which are increasingly also used in the products of other manufacturers.
