The RTGs have a unique hoist rope reeving arrangement which results in extremely effective no-sway features in trolley travel, gantry travel and load skew directions. Liebherr RTGs regularly achieve load throughput figures which are 35%/40% higher than those of RTGs with a conventional 2-fall vertical rope reeving arrangement.

8 wheel and 16 wheel gantry configurations are available, both drive systems are direct drive chainless design.
