The manufacturing programme of the Liebherr diesel and gas engines includes 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder in-line engines and also V8 and V12 engines. All engines are designed for the most severe conditions and meet all legally required emission standards.

Liebherr designs and manufactures axial piston units in swashplate design for open and closed circulation. The components, available as fixed-displacement or adjustable units, are ideally suited for travel drives, slewing mechanisms and working hydraulics in mobile machinery.

Liebherr hydraulic cylinders stand for quality and reliability. The experience gained over 50 years combined with technological progress is part of every product and can be seen in consultation, development and production.

As a system supplier for hydraulics Liebherr offers in-house designed and manufactured hydraulic and electrical pilot control devices and valves in addition to pumps and motors.

Liebherr has been designing and manufacturing application-specific gearboxes and rope winches since the 1950s. The range of products includes splitter boxes, slewing and swivelling drives, travel drives, planetary plug-in gearboxes, compact and heavy duty rope winches, gear ring rope winches and special gearboxes for a wide range of applications.

The range of Liebherr large diameter bearings includes one-row and two-row ball bearing slewing rings and three-row roller bearing slewing rings with internal or external gears. Special designs up to a diameter of 6000 mm are also possible.

As the ideal supplement for the gearboxes, Liebherr designs and manufactures compact air-cooled asynchronous squirrel cage motors and permanent magnet motors in the power range of 4 kW to 1500 kW, as well as alternators.

In the field of control technology Liebherr designs and manufactures items such as control systems for diesel-electric dumper trucks and controls and switchgear for construction, container and gantry cranes. The assemblies from in-house production include IGBT power modules (power stacks).

Liebherr offers a wide range of high-quality electronics ranging from control and regulation electronics that cover a wide range of applications through to displays with touch screen to highly dynamic power electronics for the spoiler drives of the Airbus A380.
