Technical equipment for aviation demands highly dynamic electrical drive solutions up to 30 kW in hydraulic systems. The motor control electronics are primarily used in peripheral systems for actuating primary and secondary flight control actuators. In modern air systems electrical drives are used for compressors and pumps up to 100 kW.
As a result of their fitting position in various sections of the flight control systems in the aircraft (e.g. spoiler, (control) rudder, rudder etc.), the power electronics components are required to withstand the most extreme environmental conditions (temperature, vibration, sealing, etc.). They must also meet rigid requirements regarding size, heat dissipation and weight.
