Embraer has selected Liebherr-Aerospace as the supplier of the advanced high lift system and the integrated air management system for the next generation of their E-Jet commercial aircraft. Liebherr’s technologies will allow for a further substantial reduction of the CO2 and noise emissions of the E-Jet family.

Within the framework of the Joint Technology Initiative “Clean Sky”*, Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse (France), and Sonaca SA, Gosselies (Belgium), have recently achieved a major milestone in the development of an electric wing ice protection.

The new technological research institute “IRT AESE” (“Institut de Recherche Technologique Aéronautique, Espace, Systèmes Embarqués”) will start developing technologies of the future for aeronautics, space and embedded systems this year.

The system has recently been shipped to the aircraft final assembly line in Montreal (Canada).

As a sponsor of the three-day AIRstudent event, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH will offer around 50 students the opportunity of visiting its facility in Lindenberg.
